New Agriculture Minister Welcomed by the Plant Science Industry

    The national peak industry organisation for the plant science sector welcomes the appointment of Senator the Hon Murray Watt as Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. CropLife Australia also welcomes the Hon Ed Husic as Minister for Industry and Science and the Hon Ms Tanya Plibersek as Minister for the Environment and Water, portfolios that are equally important to our industry.

    Senator Watt has a shown a long and significant interest in Australia’s agricultural sector and has previously served as a member of the Senate Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Committee.

    CropLife Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Matthew Cossey, said, “CropLife Australia and our members congratulate Senator Watt on his appointment to the important role of Minister for Agriculture.
