Plant science industry leadership announced for 2022-23

    National peak industry organisation for Australia’s plant science sector, CropLife Australia, today announced its leadership team for 2022-23 following its recent Annual General Meeting.

    Mr Paul Luxton, Country Head and Managing Director, ANZ, for Syngenta, will continue as President and Chairman of the organisation. He will be joined on CropLife’s Executive by:

    • Mr Damien Ryan, Managing Director, Sipcam Pacific Australia as Vice President (Crop Protection and Stewardship)
    • Mr Warren Inwood, Managing Director, Bayer CropScience as Vice President (Crop Biotechnology)
    • Mr Gavin Jackson, Head of Agricultural Solutions (Australia and New Zealand), BASF Australia as Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee

    In addition to the Executive, the following will serve as Directors on the CropLife Australia Board for 2022-23:

    • Mr Darrin Hines, Chief Executive Officer, Adama Australia
    • Mr Rob Kaan, Managing Director Australia/NZ/Japan/Korea, Corteva Agriscience
    • Mr Peter O’Keeffe, Commercial General Manager, Nufarm Australia Limited
    • Mr Brett Ryan, Managing Director, Sumitomo Chemical Australia Pty Limited

    Mr Darrin Hines, Adama Australia, will continue as Chairman of Agsafe, CropLife Australia’s not-for-profit industry stewardship programs organisation.

    The Executive and Board will continue to guide strategic policy and goals at CropLife Australia, implemented by Chief Executive Officer, Matthew Cossey, and the expert team in the Secretariate.

    “The strategic thinking, advice and guidance of these highly experienced individuals will ensure CropLife remains a leading peak industry organisation enabling the nation’s plant science industry to support and underpin Australian farming productivity,” Mr Cossey said.

    “CropLife members are the best in the industry. They continue to provide farmers with the latest innovations and products to improve Australian farming’s productivity, profitability and sustainability. Our stewardship programs also play a leading role in making Australian farmers the world’s best.

    “I congratulate the Executive and Board on their appointments and thank them for their commitment to these important roles,” Mr Cossey concluded.
